this unmarked east peoples' badge - it has a gold wash on pin and pin block but the rest is more 'gold/silver'. has the other finish just toned down? thanks for the help!

on the finish: is the zinc subsuming the gold and leaving it the present color - eventually heading towards just the dull gray of so many? OR - are the goldies a better metal, tombak or something just as enduring? thanks.

It is a zinc badge as are all ostvolks and the finish is being lost as such, however finding gold grades in this condition and even better is not hard they tend to hold the finish quite well
