Parade mounted 1. Okt with Pragerburgspange - opinions?

    Hello All:

Have this really good looking 1. Okt, 1938 medal with Pragerburgspange on a single mount. Looks good and the Pragerburgspange is curved to fit the mount nicely.

    What do you think?

    Thanks
    Curt

Your Prague Bar is not orginal imo.

Here can you see the diffrence. Fake bar is trying to copy from this orginal model above.

I´m even not sure about the medal itself.

The extra line on the rim makes me wonder if this is a good one. Never seen this on orginal examples.

I agree with Hlynur76, the medal has very weak detail on the obverse, could possibly be from a worn die, but I would pass on this and the spange for my collection.

Also the pin on back look brand new, stainless steel, and a sudeten parademount on navyblue backing does not work for me. Though I might be out of my league here. Let's see what more knowledgeable members say.

Thanks for your comments and explanations. This would be the first thing I've bought from my contact that has not panned out. Oh well, live and learn as always.

Details are very poor and metal seems really new. I think

I'm going to have to agree with both the medal and spange being repro. Spange is an obivous repro and hlynur76 I like the example you used as the original spange example. She's a beauty right? The medal on the other hand is close, really close. The finish on this one is perfect and this is one of main ways you can tell original from repro.

                          Yes indeed it´s a beauty.

I like to mention that spange that I copaired with the copy is from Kenneth collection
