    Triple Flower Campaign medal bar

Check out this EK/Luft LS/Triple flower campaign medal bar. (sorry about the bad focus). Is it rare to have all 3 campaign medals on one bar? What do you think the value of this is? (I want to put it on e-stand). Thanks for any information.

    Memel close up

My focus was off. I'll try again tomorrow to get a better pic.

      Hello,

The medals and ribbons all look real except for that Memel Medal which is a fake for sure. Even with the bad pictures, there is no doubt about that one.

      Best regards,

Which casts suspicion on the whole bar imo.

          All Three?

It was against regulations for all three to be worn except Himmler.

For sure the Memel is Crapola.

Makes the rest of the bar suspect as to whether it is a put together.

I have to agree with the others....the Memel medal I have to give a big to also. I would also be cautious of medal bars with this particular kind of mounting also.

                Kind regards

Yep.... and I was thinking that the guy holding the flag (on the Memel) looked alot like Nacho Libre .

Wehrmacht and Luftwaffe regulations disallowed all three together.
This did occasionally happen though (from photos) in ribbon bars and I have seen a navy bar with all three on it that had provenance.

SS regs were different....and upper level Nazis tended to fudge the rules a bit.

However, the threefer combination is instant death in my eyes.

                      Better Photos of memel

Does the Memel still look repro? I scanned the medal bar; much better than my cheap old camera.

When did the regs go into effect?

Do you know when those regs went into effect? If they went into effect after Sept 39, then a LW man could have earned his EK2 in Poland and legally have bought a medal bar with the 3 flower medals. I too have seen a ribbon bar w/ all three, but only once in my life.

Well i don't think i have ever seen one like it. Everything is very "straight"...for example the eagles wings top and bottom and the flag also, no curves etc....don't like the heads/faces on the 2 men either...

                          Kind regards

It looks like an early prototype medal

If you could see it under a loop, it looks like a prototype rather than a production medal. The ridges on the leaves, lettering and flag details are extremely tall and sharp. The men have crude faces and visible jock straps! The eagle is very stylized. I definitely agree that this is NOT a standard Memel, but neither is it an example of any known repro I've ever seen. I fully appreciate you gentlemen's skepticism. But the medal bar is a one-looker to me. In deference to your opinion, I won't sell it on e-stand. But not because I think it is a fake. In my heart and mind it is a very rare, very early medal bar that was constructed before the medal went into wide production, and before the triple flower combo reg went into effect. If anyone can find another known repro with the "Nacho" faces, I will change my mind, but until then I'll live in my little fool's paradise about this medal bar.

Certainly could be a possibility...i do not know enough about the Memel medal to comment but i will ask do you have an early proto-type to compare this one with? Or a picture of an early proto-type? Like i said it could be possible and others could learn from this.

                              Kind regards
