A recent purchase in a small lot I acquired recently, I am always wary of devices and the poorly sewn grey cloth backing. Therefore I am keen to get some opinions. Any help appreciated.

I think the ribbon bar looks good.
It looks to me like an 18-Year Police LS device worn down to tombak base metal and with silver finish remaining in the recesses. Possibly, the catch is a replacement? Would expect it to be the same base material as the pin and hinge.

Looks good...it is not hard to find well worn originals with the backing material in this condition...the police cipher is good find.Comment
