    Spanish cross w/swords in bronze

I am inquiring about the originality for this Spanish Cross with Swords, in Bronze.

The center of the badge, behind the pin, in marked with "CEJ" in a square box.

Any info. would be much appreciated.

    Thank You in advance.

It also appears to have been dropped at one time?

This is the best I can do of the Maker mark with the pics I got.

Like I previously mentioned. It is marked with CEJ, outlined in a box. I suppose CEJ is C.E. Junker?

Thank You Peter fro your opinion; I appreciate the help with this.

FYI - looks promising from what I can see so far, but need better pics without flash, and in natural light to be sure. A good, clear shot of the MM would also help. You might get some more action on it if you posted this under the 'Crosses' section, too.

Its Patrick and if you can get it with a returns policy then I would grab it if the price is ok. One concern would be that there looks to be solder around the hinge so it may be repaired in which case the value is a good deal less.

                Hello Gentlemen,
In my opinion, it is a totally original badge, made by C E Juncker.
                Thank you,
                Curtiss

                  Gentlemen,

Yes, I did also notice the solder marks on the reverse, which hint at a hinge repair.

I haven't held this badge in my hands yet, so it is hard to give details.

What do you all estimate for a value of this badge at its current condition?

                  Thank You for your help.

                    Evening Gunny!

I would say it looks correct at this point. Better PIC's would make it easier.
Here's what I can add for you:

                    - The center roundel looks correct for CEJ; the space between the arms should slope upwards towards center on these and your's does.

                    - The eagle style and swastika patterns look correct for Juncker.

                    - The maker's mark is hard to make out, but I'll post a couple of my shots for you to compare once you get it in-hand. I also recommend searching in the "Crosses" forum and there should be plenty of old threads and examples.

                    Good luck!
                    Tim
