            Both bars look good!

            Any close ups of the Olympic Medal? The only one i'm unsure off!

            Best regards

                    McCulloh : I got both medal bars today ; --and do like them a lot !
                    Yes , the ribbons on the 2 nd bar look a little cleaner as on the first bar ;
                    but I tested both bars under my very strong UV - Light and all ribbons do NOT glow at all .
                    Since the 2nd bar was more a 'civilian' type bar for WW II effort , I feel the owner had not many chances to wear it .
                    I feel the owner of the first bar was a long time police officer , since it had the nice 25 year police service time on it , --and he had many more chances to wear it ; and therefor the ribbons show a little more wear on it .
                    It also stands to reason , that he 'upgraded' his bar when he got the gilt service medal ;--and placed it where the silver one used to be !
                    Also. the woven gilt eagle is on it's own piece of ribbon band and is sewn onto the blue ribbon for the medal .
                    Regards , Bernd .
