I bought a studio photo of an SS officer a while back. He is wearing a badge identified as an Estonian military academy badge. I've seen one of these badges in real life and am waiting on the one in the photo to arrive at my door any day. Both were the same pattern. It should be marked "Tallinn" on the back and it has a screw back device. Can you tell me anything about the badge? Is there just one military academy in Estonia (like the US military academy at West Point) and is this badge awarded to graduates? Or are there many military academies, each having their own badge or badge center design? I've had no luck researching on the Internet. Thanks! Relevance to German awards is it is worn on his Waffen SS tunic.
