Hello-
I have a technical question to throw out: Would an Austrian who had served in the K.U.K. in WW1 have those years of service incorporated toward a WH long service award? I have looked at the regs, and it seems to say that any prior service of veterans who served in the various German States (such as Bavaria or Saxony) during WWI those years would count towards a more advanced WH long service award (such the 25 year cross). It seems to me that since Austria became a German State after the Anschluss, that service should be counted (for WH "long service" awards). Others aren't sure--anybody know for certain?
Thanks,
JJV
