    Unknown medal

    Greetings: Not being too familiar as yet with medals, I would appreciate any information as to what this medal is and is it authentic. All comments and information is greatly appreciated.

          this is an nsdap (nazi party) long service cross in bronze, for 10 years service, yours is also in a nice ldo box, which means it s probably a privately purchased medal! it looks really nice!!

              I am not an expert on this one, but as knockoffnigel said, it is an award for a member of the NSDAP (Nazi Party) for 10 years service (Membership) So thats who it is awarded to, and the occasion would be 10 years "membership" and loyalty. Thats what you have here

                to qualify for this medal, you had to have ten years sevice in the nazi party,sa, ss, nskk, nsfk or as an a officer in the hj, dj, jm, bdm. also service in the nsbo, before 1933, orafter, in the daf! it was awarded to men & women, the womens awards usually hung on a narrower ribbon to be worn round the neck.

                  forgot to add, that the womens award could also be found as a brooch with a revised suspension. either way i think we can assume your medal is for a man!!
