Here's one of my 3rd Reich only bars.

It has Shinckleform EK2, Ost 41/42, Heer 4 Year LS & Czech Occ. with Prauge Castle Bar.

Not only is this a rarer one, but it's also still in excellent shape....

interesting how someone went through all the trouble of covering up the suspension loop on the medal with a tiny bit of ribbon cloth..

I also noticed that the 4 year has a glob of solder on the face of the medal, actually covering up part of the obverse lettering. proof positive that quality control was not near as strict as we make it out to be.

I 've often wondered why they went to all that trouble & detail of putting the ribbon over the loops, & then used a 4 Year LS with solder on the front.

jacques, unusual to see a 40 year service on a standard service ribbon... Normally they come on the wider type to accommodate the width of the 'Oakleaf bar'..
