Hi all, I picked this mine rescue up at a local show and I thought I would post it to see if anyone ever saw a repro like this before. DEL

Clearly the ring is a new one, too big for a medal like this one. It doesn't match the medal. I don't have this one in my collection, so I cannot make a comparison, but you have many pics on the forum if you do research.

The reason why I am leaning toward this being a repro is because the outer edge isn't smooth. It appears that there is a little edge around it. Also I do not see any maker mark. Were all these maker marked? I would really appreciate some help on it. Thanks, DEL

If the outer edge of the medal is that of those pics on the thread of your Afrika medal, definitely it's a fake. Sorry.
