    Hello AJ,

Yes there were Petsamo-Rovaniemi Abzeichen, which was adopted by germans and given with and without papers for those german soldiers who bicycled or marched from Rovaniemi to Petsamo. Also Finnish army soldiers used this badge.Originally badge is Finnish Travelling badge.Another same kind of badge was Petsamo-Rovaniemi-Salla badge.

The route indicated on the badge is the 'eismeerstrasse' the main land supply route for the XIX Gebirgs Korps between the gulf of Bothnia, through Rovaniemi (HQ of the 20 Geb.Armee) and on up to Petsamo and the Litsa front.

These are completely unofficial private purchase souvenirs though you can see photographic evidence of them being worn on the uniform.

It's one of the most common of a whole series of really quite attractive Finnish produced pins and badges made for the German and Finnish soldier market.
