I'd say that these court mounted KVMs are uncommon.

They do turn up but not very often. I´ve seen maybe 1/2 dozen over the years. Most seem to be just the common medal hanging on a piece of ribbon.

One more with a War Merit Medal

Sorry for my lack of knowledge on this matter, but was it allowed to waer both th WMM and the WMC (with or without Swords) at the same time as it appears in your medal bar (nice on by the way! ).

I know that not everybody followed strictly the regulation, but I've seen this combination often and I'm curious about it.

I have to admit that I'm with Scott on this one. I think the word "rare" is over-used. Is a parade mount KVM as rare as Oakleaves or with swords, a C.L. tank badge or a Spanish cross Next of Kin and so on? So far in this thread we have 6 or is it 7 of them in 2 pages. Don't get me wrong, I will grab the frist chance I get to have one of these but to call them rare IMO is not correct. I know the Oxford dictionary states thet "rare" is uncommon but in the Collectors world uncommon, hard to get or scarce is what I would call it. A rare item would be above this. No disrespect to those who have one.
