I'm not certain about the second one, it doesn't feel quite right to me and it is not in the best of states, so it would not be one for my collection.

Like the rest of the guys, I like the first one. And I pretty much agree with Mike, the second one with the casting flaw I am far less keen on. Is it zinc?

      Cheers, Ade.

Hi Nick, I feel happier knowing it is zinc. It could be OK, the detail to the front is good, just might be one made last thing Friday night or first thing Monday morning

          Cheers, Ade.

The zinc example I have has a similar rough un-finished edge at the at the top seen in post 13, the rough edge on mine is directly below the ribbon mount (sorry I can't post pics of this at present). I'm puzzled by the "signature"/designers name on the right hand side of the reverse - is this not usually on the left hand side?

The maker mark is "Roliori Milano"...

(I'am not sure about that Roliori part, It's hard to read)

                      HI Mike......

                      .......in answer to your question:

......Among collectors there are those that accept the markings on the right, and you guessed it, those that do not. Personally, I believe that both types are fine, just different dies used. Although I must add that the majority of those I've seen have the marking to the left.

                      Hope this helps.

Thanks Bruce, it does explain a possibility/probability.

Not a big fan of the maker mark on the right side. Combine that with the soft detail and it is not a piece for my collection. 1st one looks good though.
