            Thanks Alejo for your pics.

            Scott,
Very nice indeed. Are they all yours? I like the mini. The last one is unusal. These awards are starting to grow on me.
Great! Another avenue to channel my money to.

            Regards,
            AB.

I think this eleborate cross is a modern copy as well as some of the others posted above. The cross with the red lions is most interesting, I have never encountered this type, although I think it is post SCW period and the type awarded to Blue Squadron/division men.

No, the examples I posted are mot mine, they are from a photo archive I keep for reference purposes. I figured this would be a good thread to post them for others to compare.

Gracias, Gregorio! I have not focused on Spanish awards, and this came into my auction this month, and I needed to make sure it was original.

                        Nice addition Craig.

For what it's worth, there are some collectors and researchers that claim the type of badge with two side hooks are from the 1940's Blue Division period. Just mentioning it for reference purposes.

What exactly is this medal called, formally?

I´ve seen this two side hooks in both, pre and post 1940. It´s a very tipical attached system in all spanish decoration, though not all of them have these hooks. Anycase, they are allways a good sign.

Just curious about your comment. As I understand it, are you saying that some of the others posted by Scott are modern copies? If yes, which one/s?

I've a Meybauer similar to the one posted by Scott, and wonder if that maker is included in the 'copies' group.

                                Beautiful badges posted here!

                                Thanks,
                                Mark
