These types of devices were extras you could buy to "spice up" your bar.

Isn't the SS 8 year a standard device, versus one of the "pimp your ribbonbar" after-market variety? ( Not that there's anything standard about finding an SS long service. )

Thanks Peter & just keep trudging along, believe me, you'll have more bars than you'll know what to do with in no time at all!

landsknechte - I'm not 100% sure, but I believe it was a standard device, but only authorized for wear for a very brief period of time. If I recall correctly for only a little over a year or so. I will have to check my references and get back to you.

I hate it when I can't remember specifics about certain things!
