I would guess that the numbers would be in the region of a few thousands.

What strikes me is that in a lot of photographs Waffen-SS soldiers are wearing wehrmacht-eagles on their long service ribbonbars..
Is it perhaps possible that the SS long service awards weren't available all the time ?

(Just a question, please enlighten me, gentlemen...)
