Hi, I wondered if one of our members was up on the various post WWII awards of the german vet organizations. One of my RK groups, to Erich Lange, includes a box of various awards in the form of stickpins. I also have the award documents for many of these. Lange's postwar occupation was Geschäftsführender Präsident des Deutschen Soldatenbundes Kyffhäuser, so some of these might be prestigious? I had put them in the bottom of the box. and hadn' paid much attention to them. Lange was also awarded the Verdienstkreuz am bande, and the document for this is also part of the group. The pins themselves all seem to date from the 60s and 70s, but are very nicely made, many w/ familiar maker marks (Deumer etc).

Hi Andy
Hope you don't mind if I post a few more awards from this organization. My initial posting garnered quite a few hits as well as speculation, but nothing concrete. Perhaps a newer member will be familiar with some of these items and can enlighten us...Last edited by Eric Stahlhut; 09-01-2008, 12:05 PM.
