Order Of The German Eagle 1st Class Set

I have taken possession of a most lovely German Decoration that was awarded to Spanish General Don A. Cebrian on June 5, 1939. It was presented by Foreign J.von Ribbentrop on behalf of Hitler. It is the Order of the German Eagle 1st Class with Star. The beauty is outstanding and it is one of my favorite Third Reich awards.

Pablo the order came with a booklet written in Spanish. Here is the cover listing the name of the General.

                  Wow!!!
                  Really nice set
Is there a list in existence of the recipients of the German Eagle Order?
Would you be able to please show us a close up of one of the eagles on the neck order? They appear to be individual parts and soldered to the centre piece.

                  Thanks for sharing!

As far as I have been able to ascertain, there is no listing of recipients of the Order of the German Eagle. It looks like in the German Archives a listing would exist, but if so, I have not been able to get copies.

I have found that the Spanish received quite a number of the Orders of the German Eagle. I have had many coming from Spanish recipients. Seeing that Spain wasn't an active combatant nation during the war, it is only logical that more awarded examples survived than other nations ravaged by the war.

                          Hi Mr Stump

The correct name of the recipient is Cebrián. Please note also that "Don" is not a name, it's just a treatment, just like "Mister".
The name of that man was something starting with A.

                          Best regards
