    West Wall Medal

    Hi all,

Anyone know the dimensions of a West Wall Medal. I believe mine to be a fake or a medal in worn condition with fake packet and ribbon. The ribbon appears modern and crinkle cut with the packet having the wrong spelling of Schrobenhausen. Further to this the medal itself is grey and from what it seems the swastika held by the eagle differs in size........However, the medal bears resemblance to other West Wall Medals questionned on this forum.

    Any ideas?

Hi David, I suspect that your medal is most likely a zinc original, but just made more "saleable" by the addition of a packet of issue and a ribbon. There are a lot of these on the market.
The diamentions of mine is 33mm wide by 40mm long.
    Cheers, Ade.

Here is my West wall medal, it is an early tombak one. It measures H45.55mm, W33.20mm. Hope this helps.

      best regards

Reverse. Medal is zinc and has a darker finish than in the pic.
            Cheers, Ade.
