    City of Danzig Police Medal

    I have recently acquired a Danzig Police 8 Year Long Service medal which I believe to be quite rare. It appears on page 133 of Robin Lumsdens "Medals and Decorations of Hitlers Germany" in drawing format.

    Lumsden shows the value of this medal as speculative. I was hoping other members could confirm that this is a rare medal and any ideas on valuation for my records. Thanks Paul

    If original, it's certainly rare. I put it as 'speculative' as these very seldom come up on the market. I would guess it would be worth about ******163;300.

      These are extreemly rare, I would be very happy to buy at £300.00. The more realistice price for one in EF condition would be £550.00. Please post a pic of your medal. There are good copys.

        Thanks guys. I will try to get a photo on in the next couple of days. The medal came from a trusted contact in Germany who came across it with a Long Service Police Cross. Appreciate views on authenticity when posted.
