    Luitpold-Medaille

    Eric,

The 5th ribbon is for the "Luitpold-Medaille" (OEK catalogue # 459-464), commemorating the long lived Prince Regent's military jubilee... see the following thread:

    http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...light=luitpold

    Hope it helps...

    Ciao,

    Claudio

What's interesting is the positioning of what must be a Prussian/Reichs long service award ahead of it... indicating a Bavarian citizen in the navy or colonial forces before going into police.

The Luitpold Medals of 1905 and 1911 slide around all over on Third Reich bars, often found ahead of long services as a "decoration," but also commonly found AFTER long services during the Third Reich-- tjiis man hedged his bets and put it in the middle of two long services!
