More Ehrenkreuz ribbon bars

Here are two out of my collection. Rick, we talked about this device on a ribbon bar before and I do think it is a 'private purchase' item.



The EK ribbon is interesting in as much as the EK device is put on sideways (the EK is put on 'sideways' AND the date on the EK reads 1870!)

1870???? Can You post a closeup? That would be the 1st 1870 EK device I see!

The other is the usual device used for buttoniers, it does not at all belong on a ribbon bar but things like that were worn.

Very nice and rare single ribbon bar you have! My compliments... I have never seen such ribbon with such device before, too. But it looks very authentic...

Definitely a WW1+ era "ribbon bar" probably worn as a lapel device by an old veteran. Quite odd!

A two place Kriegsteilnehmer ribbonbar with the card is was sold on.

In the case of 2 and 3 ribbon bars with lapel bow devices like the mini wound badge, I'm sure these "ribbon bars" were actually worn on a civilian suit lapel by wearers who preferred that style to the "bow tie."

On small ribbon abrs like this, then, I see no "problem." But when you encounter looooong ribbon bars with things like that, THEN you have an immediate tip-off that such a thing is a fantasy parts bar, and start checking off all the other things wrong.
