    Ribbon Bar on the Estand

There are a few things I do not like about this bar... number one, the pin and catch assembly does not look right. The pin itself is not only mint but it is like polished medal... this is something I have not seen on any the bars I own.

Number 2, some of the ribbons are out of order... big time. Especially the postions of the Lifesaving medal(even if it were a west wall, it would be positioned incorrectly) and the KVK second class. It is my feeling that it is post war made with original parts... at best!

This is my first time raising discussion on an item on the Estand and I hope I did not break any rules by doing this.

I could be completely wrong, yet I dont think so. I would be interested in hearing what others have to say.

    Thanks
    Paul

I think that is one of those "Frankenbars" that Rick Research used to rant about...

A closeup of the catch would help, but from here it looks hand-snipped...
The precedence is odd (Austrian after DAs), but not too unusual: Life-saving and KVK2 are ok. However, devices:
      - The EK Spange looks bad from here. Closeup would reveal more.
      - The HHOX device should be gilt.
      - The mini on the Austrian ribbon is IMO what kills it.

        Hi Gents,

If someone can send me an email I can shoot you some detailed photos of specifics. My area of fucus is not medals/badges so I would appreciate any feedback as there are interested parties for this piece. The only history I can give is that it came with a tunic along with the belt I have listed in the e-stand uniforms section. I purchased them at the Great Western show in 1988. Thanks in advance for your help.
