The Gold is fine, the 8 year is a casting based on these photos.

The big difference are the lack of details of my medal?
The 8 year I showed has even a marking, the replica's getting better and better. I can ask for better pictures, or are you complete certain? (I had little doubts on the golden, so you see I'm not a expert at all )

There should be stippling inside the wreath around the swastika and none anywhere else. The subject piece MAY just be a late-war zinc medal but personally I would wait for a textbook one.

The gold is identical to mine which is made by Alois Rettenmaier.

Thanks Ian! One more question, if I look at the eagle's head, compare mine to yours, I don't like the head at all of mine. Yours is way better. Is that just something because of different manufacturers? I mean, that don't has to be a "red flag" straight away?

It would be a red flag to me but that doesn't neccesarily mean it's a fake ... I'm not an expert, just have 2 examples which I believe to be original and that no-one has ever questioned.
