    Steinhauer und Lueck marking

It is a common belief that Steinhauer und Lueck (S&L) produced badges post war with the little circle as their marking.

    Is this one of them?

          Hello Rolf,
Yes, this is true, but Steinhauer & Lück also used the raised circle marking on some of their wartime-produced badges as well.
          Best regards! Tom

Like Tom says, the mark could also be pre 45, an example are S&Ls flight clasps and the first pattern zinc e-boat badges.
            Cheers, Frank

That is interesting! Why would they have two different maker marks?

                Hello Rolf,

Here is a wartime Bomber Flight Clasp by S&L. It is a zinc clasp, with a Buntmetall, winged bomb.

Here is a first-pattern S-boat Badge by S&L, in zinc. This was probably the last production run of first-pattern badges, prior to the start of second-pattern S-boat Badge production.

                      Best regards! Tom
