    Shooting Award Help Please

Hi gentleman; not sure I'm in the right forum with this piece because I 'm not sure of the background. This is a cased GAU SCHIESSEN LORCH medallion DEUTSCHLAND ERWACHT 1933", 800 SILVER CASED MEDAL
Medal depicts the burning torch on the obverse and the & city Gauschiessen lorch. Marked "800" . Medal measures 43mm, their is a target in the left hand corner. My guess is it's a hunting shooting award equilvilant to fish and game type award issued in the states; well that's is a guess. I was hoping that some one could identify it as well as give a suggested price point. I'm really in the dark on this one.
Best Regards and thanks in Advance

        Shooting award

        Hello,

I personally have never seen this one => IMHO a unofficial shooting prize for a contest from some organisation .

I can't be of much help for you with this one but im also interested in the initials that are on this medal ? , is the paper packet marked ?

        Cordial Greetings,

Hi Stijn, I couldn't make anything out of the intials eithier, I was hoping someone else could. I agree with you, in that it appears to be an unofficial shooting award of sorts. Their was no paper package with the piece so that isn't an option. I had someone wanting to buy this for his forestery collection, he appeared to know more about it, bu was reclusive in giving out any information. I,m not sure if that means anything at all. I just wanted to find out more about it. Thanks for your help, I hope somebody can add something to this .

          Best Regards
          Joe

            Dear Joseph,

I havenĀ“t seen it before but the nature of the badge forbids it to be an extremely sought after item. It is a small city and the badge was made for a local party shooting event. It is nice but not well known and people interested in it might see it more as a curiosity item and will not be prepared to pay a high price for it. My guess would be 60-80 USD. Maybe 100 if somebody is really into those and because of the added case value.

            Cheers, Frank H.

This is not a "hunting item".

                  Agreed

Its not a "hunting" item. Perhaps I should have stated that Houston is quite knowledgable on "shooting & hunting " items. I do believe that it is a shooting award of some sort.
Sorry if I offended someone by suggesting another forum, but I look for help where ever I can get it.
