Dear Mark,

That is the first REDO badge on this forum that I like without doubts. It has the correct style lettering. I have heard that the fakes have more stout lettering. *Possibly* the stout lettering is also ok, because when I looked at some of these badges they seemed real. But the doubt remains. It is said that REDO is a much faked maker of SA sports badges.

I have this info from a experienced, old collector, who told me this when I was a teenage collector. Learned a lot from him. Well before there were good books in Germany, or the "net". I just hope he was right and it is not US who have the fakes, haha!

Here is my silver REDO, it is the twin brother of yours. Has a tiny bit of wear on the sword´s blade though, you lucky bas**rd!
