SA Sports Badge in Silver?

Greeting: I've never visited here, I'm a helmet guy... I have an opportunity to buy an SA Sports Badge in Silver tomorrow in a grouping of items. Do any of you mind telling me what a "ball park" value would be on such an item?

There are three issue types, all of which could have serial numbers or not-- the first two because wearing duplicates didn't have numbers, and the last type because they gave up numbering during the war. The first two issues would be quite scarce for silver-- there should be a thread under "SA Sports" search in the Political etc forum.

Curent retail I couldn't say. A serial numbered badge would be worth more than one without a number. A serial numbered badge with the matching numbered photo ID Sports Badge award booklet would be a VERY nice find.

These usually go for around 75-100 dollars...and thats with a decent amount of finish left. If it is mint looking, expect to pay a premium, as these didnt hold up very well (most have wear on the sword and wreath)

Thanks for the info guys... I'm looking to pick it up with the group today. I'll post pics tonight, it will be for sale on the e-stand too. I'm told it is numbered and in rather nice shape...we'll see!
