The photo of the medical drop canister presents the medical gear used by FJs. We know they had bags and rucks to carry in the field. For obvious reasons.

The piece presented here is like a suitcase with shoulder straps. Wooden frame and shelves. Who would wear such a piece in the field? And especially an airborne formation?

              Any markings? Unlikely.

Do you still think it is a FJ medic's box, an item which would be delivered on an airborne landing and carried in the field? When we know which bags and rucksacks they used?

After 8th September 1943 the Wehrmacht captured large stocks of italian equipments that were reissued where and when necessary. Some where modified or adapted (mess kits were repainted in Feldgrau for example). So it's possible that this item was captured by the germans, modified and reused by them.
