Lighting in first photo

They are really nice photos. Something to be proud of having in a collection, but I am not sure about the first one. The lighting is all wrong. Photographic film and chemicals used in developing prints in the 40's didn't produce such contrasty tonality. Is it possible that it is a re-enactor photo?

Thank you for your kind comment. I guarantee that first photo is 100% original and not a reenactor photo. Bill

Great photos Bill!

I think that one FJ is wearing an early set of K98k bandoleers.....squared off pockets....and not one for a FG42. I think the photo is too early for FG42s to have been out. The K98ks all look early....with the "H" milled front bands.
