Yes, I guess upon closer inspection this one has a thicker spray.

Honestly, when I first was handed the helmet to confirm whether his price was "reasonable", I wasn't very impressed. I was expecting a package with two rare Franco-Prussian War era rifles so was focused on that, and have been pretty bored with FJ collecting. Then I snapped out of it and bought it. As a "Leopard can't change his spots" I now can't believe I would have considered passing on it....

Totally agree, very nice helmet Willi. Just curious,,,,,,,,,what is the lot number and is it marked ET or ckl?

Terry, it is a "ckl", but can't make out the entire lot number.

It is interesting that while each bolt has the correct pair of nuts, they are reversed. The FJ adjusted the chinstraps, based on some slight "crushing" of the grommets above, and reinstalled the nuts with the inner ones on the outside.

Thanks Willi. I guess the FJ just flipped the outer nut so that the flat side was down and the shoulder side up. Not uncommon at all. Nice helmet.
