I just received this ring from a guy who bought some old trains from the widow of WW2 Veteran. In the bottom of one the boxes were some WW2 German and U.S. items. He called the widow to let her know and she said she had no use for them and he could keep them. He does not collect WW2 items so he sold it to me. This ring was one of the items. From what I could find the maker's mark F * is Frey Company, Pforzheim, Germany. But there is no LN mark. It's engraved with what I think translates to "For remembrance of" 1941-42" It has very nice detail but I know there are great copies of rings. I would appreciate your opinions.

The amount of rings I trust is under 1%..
Rings all over the place, some obvious fake, some quite believable..
Rings are quite easy to create for people in the branch, it all depends what their skills are..
I've had many chances to buy pilot rings, geschwader rings, luckily I did not, because later on I found them on the web, new, worn, ground dug, all the same questionable types ..
There's a difference between I like or, Yes, it's 100% original.
Rings sell easy, I've noticed, but do people know what they are buying ??
Very tricky stuff.
