    I figured the helmet shell and liner were ok. Any opinions on that? Is it possible to buy an original chin strap? Thank-you John for posting the pictures for me!!!

          I was curious about the post war chin straps and snaps. Were they produced by Germany? Were these helmets still produced or reconditioned for reuse after the war?

            The FJ straps used immediately after the war were German made and almost identical to the WW2 straps. I think Patrick ( Gran Sasso ) knows more about these . Patrick ?
