    Smock eagle or not ?

    I'm not an eagle expert and would know your opinon on this eagle, please ? FJ smock eagle or not ?

              Certainly not a smock eagle. But it might be an unfinished late eagle. To me the angle of the photos make it tough to authenticate.

                It´s an original pattern, on a latewar backing, not seen on FJ jumpsmocks...yet
                It´s just a little messed up and overfilled/compacted with thread, which sometimes occur so that it seems a little thick in the lines.
                This pattern varie/evolve a lot throughout the war.

                    Here´s how your eagle should have looked like had it been perfect. The fact that the backing is green makes it
                    very possible that it were intended for ground fighting troops´s jackets, jump smocks and LW Green HBT tunics,
                    and this eagle pattern were used alot on these, so it will not surprise me a bit if some very few jumps smocks,
                    FD Jackets or Green HBT tunics will turn up some day with one of these originally sewed on them.
