Well, Bill, the pictures obviously leave a lot to be desired. One thing I can see is that the liner is not authentic. I don't know about the straps, since the pictures are simply not good enough to tell. The shell is described as a size 68 and could indeed be authentic, although who knows about the white camo paint (until, again, we get better pictures). Being a white camo though, I have to admit I am quite sceptical. However, since the liner is bad, I give it a

Not sure about the liner, might be ok. Would have to see better photos. He does writeup the RBNr of the liner incorrectly. He states it is a "0/260/020". Not sure if the liner really is that, or he just read it wrong. The correct RBNr for Karl Heisler in Berlin is "0/0250/0201". So, if it is as he states, then the liner is surely bad.

I surely don't like the camo, and with about 1 day left, no one else really does either, as reflected by the highest bid.

Am I wrong in believing that liners that do not sport the correct stiching between the halves are bad? Are there exceptions to this?

The RBNr on the liner photo is as he writes it.

As Willi has pointed out the RB# is incorrect and I think it is a repro! I too don't like the paint on it. although I think the helmet itself is original but that is the only thing on this FJ item on Eban!

I asked the seller send me some photos of the shell numbers and ET68. But he said it was a late war type so don't have marks on it. So even the shell is quite suspicious.

There is another from France. Kick out By eBay because seller mention "Nazi' or something. Later seller sent e-mail to anyone contact him and ask $2500-$3500 for this lid. I don't like the liner so ... How about your opinion? Lost liner photos, sorry.

I don't like the eagle. A better close up of the eagle would be great, if possible. A picture of the liner would be nice too.
