        Gustav, unfortunately it's not from Russia, it has strong US provenance. Steve, I didn't see similar in CG shop, but mine definitely not from there Still looking for period pix of wearing these covers.
        Looking for FJR2 combat pics in Russia.

          wow that is a great find, congrats! there is one pic I recall but I think its just a self made piece of italian fabric tucked under, I am far from my library to look sorry

                        Wonderful examples, wow!! Has any additional light been discovered with respect to these covers? Factory-made stitching or more like unit level tailor fabricating these?

                          Thanks, guys, I personally still didn't found any information about production of them, but definitely well made pieces, looks factory made..put them together, while they a little bit different outside inner construction identical. Sorry I wouldn't show close ups especially inside to prevent these from fakers.
