          This picture was taken on the Boompjeskade.

            No then and now picture , but just a picture how it have looked like if the Maasbridge still was there today . On the ramp of the bridge is now a gym (blue neon letters left). The photo in post #34 was taken where now the green container stands.

                Thanks for sharing these! That looks like Sepp Dietrich in #31.
                I have uploaded some periode footage of some these locations at http://youtu.be/9LC1-s_B2Ac.

                It shows paratroopers and SS troops of the Leibstandarte AH near and in Rotterdam (check the bridge at 3:15, Prins Hendrikkade 4:16, the guy who looks like Sepp Dietrich at 8:35) and also the relentless bombing of Rotterdam as to force the capitulation.

                          A little update (26-02-2015)

                          On the right side was bakery Jongerius (headquarters of Hauptmann Walther).
                          The picture is taken in the direction of the Dordrecht bridge (Dokweg) the road on the left side is the Rijkstraatweg , nowadays The Laan der Verenigde Naties.
                          And around the corner by the bakery starts the Weeskinderendijk.
