SOS show FJ report ?

Hello, Guys

So, how was the SOS show that year ??????? Great year for FJ finds or not ???

I heard about usual items : mostly splinter smocks , bandos , few camo helmets, badges , knee pads.......
but no pants , boots , gasmask bags

So perhaps others can add their comments ?

The green cover at the SOS is from John Burnett's collection, prior to that it was in George Petersen's collection. Am fairly sure it has already been shown on WAF in an old thread somewhere. The cover was originally on the Ramcke helmet illustrated on p.85 (lower helmet) in German Paratroops in Africa. It is a true DAK cover. The helmet and cover were recovered together by an Australian soldier. Had always hoped to reunite them someday, but the current price of the cover prevents this.

Yup that is it. The camo on the right was stunning. It was for sale and did sell.

David, no big score for me but it was nice to meet some new collectors from far away places. That makes the show for me.

Was told other wise, will have to replace my Intelligence officer.

Excellent news, perhaps there is a chance for a reunite yet. Looks a lot like John's or even Russ's ex though.....

Last year or this year David? A slow year so far, too much work; did pick a nice little badge earlier this year.
