    My Para Helmet, I finally bite the bullet…

    From the very first years of collecting, the German Para helmet intrigued me. As I am living very close to Eben Emael I often heard the stories of the German Paratroopers. After much consideration, a couple of weeks ago I finally bite the bullet. After a long search I managed to add a helmet of the Elite of the German Heer to my collection.

    I would especially thank fellow moderator Willi Z. and fellow member Beukem for their help and support in my quest.

    I took some time before posting these pictures because I first had to build my own helmet stand which I was pleased with.

    Please let me know your opinions as I hope you like it as much as I do.

          Congrats Pascal! A fine example. I think you got a good deal and you know my thoughts on the oiled liner and that I couldn't know for sure if it had been apart and cleaned.

          I didn't know you lived close to Eben Emael! I have been there twice and in the area last June. Maybe we will meet one day.

                            Problem with this bullet that everyone is biting is that it becomes addictive and soon one may find himself toothless..
