Hello John,
The bevo eagle was obtained from the same person as all the others. I have never seen a fake, in this pattern and it matches the materials and construction of the authentic blue bevo types. It is a mystery to me.

Hi Bob,
Here is an authentic BEVO in flatwire. There is a subtle difference in design. Note how yours is more "hump backed." Also note how on yours the mouth line of the beak runs into the eagle's eye. In the 1980s I saw BEVO eagles like this on several reproduction jump smocks, tunics and flying blouses.

my first smock eagle
I just got this one, I think it is greunmeliert backed, sewn to splinter on tan smock material. (it looks similar to John’s on posts 41 and 42). What do you guys think? Thanks.
