One Last FJ Badge for Discussion

Some of you will probably remember that I posted recently an FJ badge for review and Thomas D. was ever so generous with his comments which I really appreciate. Well....the same source has offered me the one shown below after I asked if he had something a little bit more "minty". It's another Assmann & Sohn and appears to be the same mid-war vintage as the other one.

Please give me your opinions before I make the purchase. As always, much appreciated and hope that I can return the favor at some point.

Another question: Are Assman the LEAST desirable of all badges. It appears that their pricing is the lowest and the appear to be more numerous.

    Regards,

    Brian

Hey guys...I know that there are lots of more interesting subjects on the forum, but would you mind giving me your opinions (it can be short)? Thanks in advance.

Looks like a good zinker from here Brian. I really don't have any problems with it. Show a good shot of the maker mark if you can just to be sure.

            Hi Brian,

I agree with Eric, looks perfectly fine to me too. I think these were mid-wartime badges, right after Assmann switched to zinc from nickel silver, but before they started die casting the wreaths. An aspect to these is the very thin wreath, just as thin as the early "thin wreath" examples made from brass in the mid-to-late 1930s.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little
