M38 Aluminium Bolts

I did not realise that the spanner bolts for the M38 cam in aluminium, I thought brass (very early) and steel only?

I agree. I also had some questions when I saw them...

Could be one of the first bolts produced after the metal bolts
and before the aluminium screw-bolts???

Could be but i have never ever read about aluminium ones! So could be very unusual or repro or maybe they are actually steel!! Maybe our experienced helmet collectors can jump in here?

they are not spanner bolts, they are vented slotted bolts and original! We are talking about aluminium spanner bolts with the 3 holes on their face!

Sorry Mike, a bit hasty. I noticed the error just as I pushd the "submit reply"-button. Felt like a fool but hoped noboddy would notice. By the way, I never doubted the slotted bolts.
