Army Para Badge Engraved to Officer

Can anyone please give me information on this badge. I have never seen this type of clasp before.

The badge is marked 800 on the reverese of the eagle. The pin I am told tests positive for 10K gold.

The badge has great weight to it, but I never handled 100% real ones.

Any information would help... Thank You.

The first question you should ask is why is the pin supposedly 10kt gold when the rest od the badge is not precious metal. The eagle, while being marked for silver content clearly is not silver and the wreath clearly is not gold.

Agreed, a fantasy badge very unlike original Heer Paras.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

                    Hi,

unfortunately there are some of these badges in collections that are not original, as this one.

We seem to keep seeing these type of fakes, is there a dealer trying to peddle them?
