                HOFFMANN is well known by winter fur caps , panzer crusher ,...
                but some doubts subsist ...... I will wait other opinions

                why are there stitches around the officer's cord ???

                  G.A.Hoffmann firm produced LW tropical caps for sure,see some pictures in John Hodgin's book or Kurtz's book....let's wait for another opinions,especially on the eagle and the maker stamp

                    Its a double stitches that fix the officer's cord! Nothing bad, it hit to me too at first sight, (see pics n6.)

                      Antonio, I have never seen a Hoffmann tropical cap with that style of markings, fabric (both the lining and the cap), or eagle.

                            personally i don't mind this rosette, i didn't see any other kind on this kind of cap! Was your diffrent?

                              At best, an enlisted upgrade. You can see where the original stitch line was removed for inclusion of the piping. Eagle appears to be the same eagle that is found on the Berolina caps with pen size markings.
