    M37

Hi! This one just turned up here in Norway. When I got it, it was painted bright yellow after doing service in the Norwegian Sivilian Defences (not sure how to translate this...?). I know thers a lot of fake M37`s around, but pretty sure this one is not one of them. What do you think?

                      Hi Sverre,

You have done a superb job in removing that horrible yellow paint. Well done! I still have photos of what it looked like when your friend found it.

It is certainly an original. It is also nice to see, in additon to the 2 M36 helmets, a M37 which was probably used in the 1940 campaign in Norway. It is also interesting to see that it has been upgraded with a M38 liner and straps as well.

Is there a "LBA39" stamp somewhere on the side of the liner? I can't recall if Derek already answered that question some time ago.

                        Thanks!

Too bad the decals are gone, but if they where stil present I probably never could afford it.

                        Here is the ET68.

No LBA-stamp as far as I can see. But the liner is rather dark and well used. I will have a go with some better light.

                            Thanks Sverre.

I found the earlier photos, so let me know if you want me to post a "before" photo.
