Can you provide an overall view of what we are looking at? I don't like the color of the fabric from the close up, but this could be the lighting. The "male" snap looks fine, but I've never seen a "female" like that. We need other opinions. If it will load properly, here is a photo of the only "filigree" snap I am aware of.

Dear John,
That's the best I can do for the Item is not mine, I've seen and "inspected" it, but I have no more picture available. It has been found by the owner, together with me, complete with everything. It fits small type ammunition loader only.
It's completely, or in large percentage, rayon made, of poor construction tipycal of late war (some sewing mistakes, re-issued fabric, camo on one side only.
Now, I could maybe get it, but the owner knows what it is...
I'm quite sure about its provenience, but still I wish some other's opinion, wiser than me, about these buttons, the way they are applied (back of the male), and the general "poor" consistence that rayon gives to the whole item, considering that is "lighter" than the k98 one.
I know probably I'm going to "hurt" myself, but thank you to anybody who has suggestions.
Daniel

bandoleers : REPLY
Hello John,
thanks for your answer.
Now, can you say more?
I had been lucky enough to know Mr.Petersen many years ago at the Stuttgart Waffenborse. He showed me many pictures from his collection, among which some of him dressed in FJ uniform, with the bandoleer on.
I don't know construction details of Mr. Petersen's ones, but judging from what I've seen (IN PICTURES) this is a completely different item, at least in the fact that this does fit only small ammo magazines, while Mr. Petersen's fits only the big ones.
Apart from this, and most important, do you agree with Chris about material, rust, snaps?
To Chris
Hello Chris,
Thank you for the answer. I will check as soon as I can your objection on the item.
About the pictures, I can tell you that I took them personally last month. I know that the owner has got them in his collection at least from '97, and he told me never pictured them before: since he is a friend of mine, I'll be geatly disappointed if this wasn't true.If you can give me more information about the ones you have seen (do you remember more or less when? It looked like it was the same bandoleer?) it could help me to see clearer.
To Willi
Thank you too for your answer.
As a new member, and very small collector, I consider a honour to have the chance to mail with all of you.
As I told with John, I'll keep in great consideration an opinion from you.
Thanks
Daniele
