    FJR 2 Bayonet

    Hi All,

I found 2 month ago, directly from a farm located in centre France, this lot of FJ items, most tropical’s (pics 1 & 2). The farmer cannot give any information about where it's come from, he just told me that his father found it in the late 60s all together in one shot stored in a carton box, without any other details provided...(As Willi often says, don't buy the stories, just the items!)

The K98 "KWC 38" bayonet, engraved "Fallschirmajäger Regiment 2" on one side & "Der Sieg Wird Unser Sein" to the other one, was very rusted & the engraved lettering almost invisible. The man decides to clean it with metal cleaner & it appears like you can find enclosed. This bayo does not have the "flame protection" on the upper handle and it doesn’t look removed (?). Would it be a WWII parade bayo, or perhaps an engraving for post war commemoration..? (it doesn't look post war but...)
    Any information will be appreciated.

I cannot give more detail or better pics about the others FJ items at this time (bandolier, knee pads, gravity knife...) because i just wait to receive its before post its to the WAF (there are on the way).

    Cheers to All of you

I tend to say that we see a lot of fakes here...

Thanks very much Jay & John for this "faker" precision.
Is this kind of engraving was ever used during WWII or was it never issued in the war (or before)?
