help needed

hi guys
need some verification please
1. would a fallshirmjager medic have blue or yellow waffenfarb (think its blue but just want to check)
2. is regiment 3s emblem a four leaf clover (got quite a few pics but would like to clarify this)
3. what is the 1st battalions emblem
4. was there a separate infantry gun company containing 75mm LG40s in fallschirmjager regiments or were they part of the machine gun company in each battalion (i have evidence of both and am not sure if the make up changed as the war went on)
any help would be great

1) blue
2) four leaf clover
3)a scorpion (my avatar) but just in the Africa campaign
4)both, anyway the 4. Kp. in the 1st. Btl. for example was the "heavy" company (with SMG etc,)

I need to revise this one, I wrote too fast... The skorpion was used by the 1st. Company ONLY and not the whole 1st.Btl obviously. The 2nd and 3rd kp. wore other patches, while the 4th none. Just to clarify.

I thought the LG40s were in the Artillery Regiment at the divisional level, and were not battalion, or regimental, level assets. The 4th Company of each battalion were indeed the "heavy" company but had LMGs, HMGs and mortars. I could be mistaken.....

Despite their sizes the LG40 and 42 were artillery pieces.

Willi I don´t want by no means generalize with other units. Talking about the I./Rgt.3: It is correct that they (the 4th) usually (as heavy company) had just SMG/Mortars (as at the Neva 1941 for example) etc. But they had surely a couple of LG in the company in Africa (like the 2nd Kp.) even if the real/official artillery/pak units there was the groups Fenski and Haseneder. But I understand just now, than my previous answer could be mistaken.

Edgar, I think the 'textbook' unit composition wasn't the norm for FJ units in Africa. That could explain what appears to be an exception.

would love to see any more you have of the LG40
i have unit organization diagrams in three or four different books and none show the LG40 in an artillery company they are either in the heavy weapons company which i believe was the 4th 8th and 12th companies of FJR3 or in a infantry gun company at regiment level
