So Wird Man Fallschirmjäger ?

Hello gentlemen,

I have been searching high and low for any information about
Hermann Groth who is the artist behind the very whimsical cartoons
for the Fallschirm comic book "So Wird Man fallschirmjager" .
The only info I can come up with is as follows..



Born 14-11-1902
Killed 20-05 1941 (Kreta)
He rests in Maleme German cemetery GR: 473-00
Member of III/FJR1 Rank Gefreiter.
His charicatures where also featured in the Journal "Wahre Jacob" 1929 Issue



If any one can shed light to this talented Fallschirmjäger please do.

If Hermann Groth was the artist fallschirm comic book, the writer was Ludwig kade.
He was born in Solingen 5.8.1915 and killed in Ortona (Villa S. Tommaso) 26.12.1943, with rank Oberleutnant and member 11^ Kp. III/FJR1.
He was buried in Cassino.

Many other information about the military curricula are very important to me.

Sade that these two talented men where killed.
Makes this comic book all the more worth having!

this is also a very funny and interesting book and no FJ collector should be without as far as I am concerned ... thanks for the information on the authors ... Cheers, Torsten.

I have just bought a book with the same cover in Europe AND was wondering if this was a one off or a series.

This is a one off unfortunately, most likely because both the writer and artist where actual Fallschirmjäger and the artist was killed on Crete May 20 1941......
